I'm not really sure where to start here, but something I saw on TV this past weekend really got Ol' Randy going. It's a certain commercial that I've seen thousands of times before but for some reason this time it dawned on me how absolutely ridiculous it is. Today I want to talk about this whole phenomenon that is "Girls Gone Wild."
I couldn't tell you how many times I've been watching television and seen these commercials. I usually shrug them off with a little curiosity, however I've never felt compelled to send my $9.99 in. But this time it was different...I saw the commercial and the first thing that popped into my head was, "Reallythere are this many sluts out there?"
Think about it. We have all seen the commercials. If you haven't then you really don't watch that much television. Now think back...do you ever remember the same DVD being advertised. I can't. It seems that every time I see the commercial its for a different version. About the only thing Ive seen more of in the last 10 years have been new Tupac albums.
Now this brings me back to my original point'''where are they finding all of these girls? What is so enticing to them that they feel led to be in a soft-core porn that will be with them the rest of their life. Hell, its gotten so bad now that I feel like I should buy every installment and watch them religiously just so I can see if I've dated or am dating any of these girls.I mean the last thing I want is to have to explain something like that to my son or daughter one day. These things have changed our culture without us even knowing it. Ten years ago if I had told you that it would be commonplace to get drunk and flash and have a little girl-on-girl action for the camera for the world to see...you would have laughed at me. Now you just kinda shrug it off.
Another interesting thing this brings up is where is this going? Why am I not seeing advertisement for Vivid Videos newest release? We already have the phone sex commercials, the soft-core porn commercials...why not just include escort services and hard-core porn? Where are the advertisements for the local strip clubs? Are these not allowed to be advertised? From my understanding, anything is acceptable after 10:00 p.m. and before 6:00 a.m. ...at least thats what the FCC says regarding its Safe Harbor Hours. Why am I not seeing ads for hard liquor and cigarettes. Sure they're unhealthy, but why are they restricted. If I'm a parent of one of these "easy riders" being shown in these things, I think I'd rather see the freakin' cig and alcohol ads.
I guess what it comes down to is that Randy and his good buddy Dielog may start looking into an off-season business opportunity. I'm thinking of pairing the whole "Girls Gone Wild" with another huge breakout from the past, "Cops." Prepare yourselves for "Sluts"...bad girls, bad girls...whatcha gonna do, whatcha gonna do when they cum on you?
DEAL WITH IT,
Randy Daily
